I wasn't particularly fond of China (can you tell?). I'm talking about China-the-country, not China-the-people. I met well over 1,000,000,000 very nice Chinese people.   After airports, buses, the inside of the theaters and the aftermath of APEC, there wasn't much time left for sight-seeing.

I rushed through the mandatory must-sees; Tiananmen Square (where the Chinese human rights clock was turned back at least a few centuries in 1989),

Mao's Mausoleum, the Forbidden City. Sorry for the haze in the pictures. It's not the camera or the lens, it's Beijing's notorious pollution.
